How to install Claude Code?

Manual：npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code, then manually edit ~/.claude/settings.json with your API Key and base URL

`claude` / `codex` / `gemini`: command not found

Symptom：After reopening the terminal, the command is not found — PATH did not update.

Fix：Mac: run `source ~/.zshrc`. Windows: fully quit PowerShell and reopen. If it still fails, reboot.

401 Unauthorized when running

Symptom：API Key is wrong, expired, or missing.

Fix：Generate a new key at app.pingai.hk, re-run the install command, and pick "Reset key".

China network: install fails or is very slow

Symptom：`npm install` hangs for minutes or times out.

Fix：The script auto-switches to Taobao mirror. If it did not, manually run `npm config set registry https://registry.npmmirror.com`.

Windows: "cannot run scripts"

Symptom：PowerShell throws an execution policy error.

Fix：Double-click `install-win.cmd`. Or open PowerShell as admin and run `Set-ExecutionPolicy -Scope CurrentUser RemoteSigned`.
